The Walk to Emmaus is a three-day spiritual retreat where you experience the New Testament in Christianity as a lifestyle. It's highly structured schedule is designed to broaden your Faith in Christianity using a partnership of laity and clergy toward the renewal of the church.
People who attend a Walk are referred to as Pilgrims. During those three days you interact with other believers and gain new understanding of your faith.
While you are on that walk you will be immersed in the love known as “agape”. Which is the pure, unequivocal love of God. There will be teams of people all over the world praying for you. The power of that 72 hour prayer vigil can never be understood. And it is overwhelming. The vast majority of Christians who have participated in a Walk have said that it was a life-changing experience.
As you are sent back to your home church to start your Fourth Day you are challenged to become a “disciple by example” and you are asked to bond together in holding each other accountable. That accountability is fostered by joining together in small groups called Reunion Groups, which meet regularly and share their joys, their failures and their successes in discipleship.
Periodically, typically monthly, the entire Community will gather together to work on ways to sponsor more Pilgrims, to encourage each other and to share their Fourth Day experiences.
