Welcome to the North Shore Emmaus Community. We are a group of Pilgrims who have gathered together in the Lago Vista, Texas area to share our Fourth Day experiences. We invite all who have participated in or would like to participate in an Emmaus Reunion Group to join us.
The Walk to Emmaus was modeled on the Roman Catholic Cursillo, which has also been adopted by the Episcopalian, Lutheran and Tres Dias denominations. The Walk to Emmaus program is ecumenical and open to all Christian denominations.
The objective of Emmaus is to prepare local church members for Christian action in their daily lives. Emmaus provides a way for our lives to be lived and shared with others. The leadership at the Upper Room say that the purpose of the Walk is to “renew disciples and, through them, to renew local churches and to convert the world.”
You are invited to experience a retreat during which you meet Jesus as he is revealed to you through other Christians.
